Our core provides a wide array of services for both HIV/AIDS and other researchers. We offer testing services (p24 ELISA, real time and digital droplet PCR for the detection of HIV cDNA, HIV viral load), blood and blood cell products. In addition, we maintain a fully equipped and stocked BSL2+ facility for scientists that do not have wet lab space, new investigators joining UCLA or investigators that do not have such lab space. The UCLA/CFAR Virology Core Laboratory also maintains real time PCR instrumentation and a QX200 Bio Rad Digital Droplet PCR System. Finally,we are able to assist individual researchers with special projects related to, but not limited, HIV detection.
