  • The UCSF Preclinical Therapeutics Core (PTC) facility generates tumor-bearing anima­­ls and conducts preclinical oncology trials for UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center investigators. Offering a variety of xenograft and allograft-based cancer models, the core provides a complete set of services that include consultation regarding experimental design, tumor cell growth in culture, generation of tumors in mice, formulation and administration of experimental agents, monitoring of tumor burden and response to therapy, and preparation and interpretation of study results.

  • Overview
    The UC Irvine Experimental Tissue Resource (ETR) provides four major types of service (outlined below). The ETR is a Shared Resource funded in part by the Chao Family NCI-Comprehensive Cancer Center Support Grant (P30CA062203) from the National Cancer Institute, and has facilities both on the UC Irvine campus as well as at the UC Irvine Medical Center. ETR services are available to both on- and off-campus investigators.

  • Understanding drug metabolism (DM), pharmacokinetics (PK), and pharmacodynamics (PD) is essential for the development of new therapeutics, which requires accurate and reliable quantification of drugs/metabolites in complex biological matrix. The PK/PD Bioanalytical Core Facility at UC Davis Medical Center (UCDMC) is equipped with a Waters Xevo TQS UPLC-MS/MS system and set up to provide state-of-the-art bioanalytical services to support the clinical and preclinical drug development programs

  • The mission of the Comparative Pathology Laboratory (CPL) is to provide laboratory animal biologists and basic discovery researchers the highest quality analytical data related to the health of their colony subjects, and projects requiring pre-clinical analysis. If you are in the business of managing research lab animal colonies, especially rodent species, we have a team that can address your questions regarding health monitoring, environment & equipment monitoring, phenotyping of custom bred strains, pathology services, clinical chemistry & hematology analysis related to compound discovery and efficacy.

  • The West Coast Metabolomics Center (WCMC), located at the University of California, is at the forefront of metabolomic innovation and service. We help researchers at UC Davis and extramural scientists with services, training and collaborative activities in biological and biomedical projects.
